Telehealth Preparation Checklist

Device Requirements

  • To participate in telehealth sessions, you will need one of the following:

    Desktop Computer, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone

  • To use a Smartphone for telehealth sessions you will need to download the app:

    Telehealth By Simple Practice (for iOS & Android) or Simple Practice Client Portal (for iOS)

Internet Requirements

  • For the best quality, use a high-speed internet connection between 10-15 mbps

  • Before session make sure that you have closed all windows and apps to guarantee strong connection

Joining Video Session

  • If using an iPhone you can join the session from the Simple Practice Client Portal app

  • You will receive an email/text session reminder with your one-time link to join your telehealth session

Prepare Your Space

  • Find a quiet & private space without interruptions or distractions

  • Ensure that you are alone, and no one is able to hear your session

  • Place device on a stable surface & avoid regularly moving around

  • Place device at a distance so that you can be seen from roughly the top of your head to your stomach

Back Up Plan

  • Just in case the video session does not function or connection is lost the backup plan is to switch over to a phone session with the number you provided
